Responsibilities:
- Leading the architecture and development of the new Data Warehouse / BI platform for a large enterprise customers (Fortune Global 500);
- Translate business requirements into development of logical and physical design, ETL development;
- Develop the processes to ensure security, integrity and quality of the data in the Data Warehouse to act as a “Source of Truth”;
- Ensure architecture and development standards, methodologies and best practices are followed through all the phases of DWH/BI lifecycle;
- Lead the technical team providing guidance on implementing the architecture approach / troubleshooting;
- Develop architecture design and technical specifications, present the technical approach to the team and stakeholders.
Required competencies:
- 5+ experience in doing Data Architecture for BI and Analytics;
- Expertise in relational databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc. (one or more from the list);
- Strong SQL and data modeling knowledge;
- Proven track record of implementing end-to-end BI/Analytics solutions;
- Hands-on experience with all the parts of DWH lifecycle, including data analysis, profiling, data mart modeling, ETL design;
- Expertise in BI and visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI etc.;
- Experience in configuring and tuning enterprise databases and data access;
- Experience defining and implementing team/company -wide formal standards and guidelines for database design using industry-standard best practices;
- Experience and deep understanding of one or more of the DWH design methodologies, such as CIF, Dimensional Modeling or Data Vault;
- Experience in automating ETL batch workload, hands-on experience with open-source and commercial ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Airflow etc.);
- Experience writing high-quality technical documentation, presenting technical architecture to the team / stakeholders;
- Experience with cloud DWaaS platforms (Snowflake, RedShift, Azure SQL DWH) would be a strong plus;
- Experience with Data lake solutions (Hadoop, AWS, Azure) would be a strong plus;
- Upper-intermediate English
